Graphics generator for the Nutrition Facts label that appears on food products
in Canada. The specifics of the content of the food products are entered into a
database and the graphics for the label are generated based on the rules
published by the Canadian Government. All Nutrition Fact Labels are saved in a
database for future recall or editing.
Main Graphics Screen
Main Screen for the Nutrition Facts label gives options for font, image
resolution, language, nutrient list format and discalimer format. All in
accordance with the rules published by the Canadian Government.
Serving Detail Screen
Serving Detail Entry Screen allows for different types of serving amount entries to
comply with the unique needs for the Canadian bi-lingual society. Or for
standardized Internaltion units.
Standard Items Detail Screen
Standard Items Detail entry is simple. Just enter the amounts of the standard items
that are present in the formula for your food product and the standard daily
percentages and significant amounts are calculated exactly for entry onto the
Nutrition Facts Label.
Other Nutrients Detail Screen
Other Nutrients that are present in your formula can be entered here. Only those
present need be listed with their amounts. Again, the standard daily
percentages and significant amounts are calculated exactly for entry onto the
Nutrition Facts Label.
Standard Items and Other Nutrient Maintenance
As Canadian Standards evolve,
Standard Items and Other Nutrients may require additions or modifications. Maintenance
screens provide a way to maintain these details and keep the generation of
Nutrition Facts Labels up-to-date and compliant.
